Java/Kotlin Software Engineer
About The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Java/Kotlin Software Engineer. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the server-side architecture that drives our cross-border payment platform. You’ll work alongside a dynamic team of engineers to build scalable, secure, and high-performance payment systems. This role will require a deep understanding of the complexities of payment processing, as well as hands-on experience in developing robust backend systems in a FinTech environment.
Our tech stack: Java 17, Kotlin, Reactor, Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
What you’ll be doing
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for our cross-border payment platform.
Build and integrate APIs to connect with various payment gateways, banking systems, and financial institutions.
Implement and maintain processing functions on the Java/Kotlin stack.
Integrate processing functions into the payment flows of our payment products.
Optimize and monitor performance across the different parts of the global payment processing system.
Implement automated tests, conduct code review, and perform performance monitoring.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:
Deep knowledge of Java 17 / Kotlin
Experience with Java Spring Boot
Experience with Kotlin coroutines
3+ years of backend development experience, with a focus on a FinTech environment.
Experience with relational databases and database design (SQL queries, functions).
Experience designing and integrating APIs (REST, SOAP, gRPC).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience in microservices and working with a distributed system architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and asynchronous communication is a plus.
