You will have experience working in the finance function of a financial services company, or financial services audit team, and tackle any problem as well as coordinate multiple deliverables in a fast paced environment. You will need to have an analytical mindset, incredible attention to detail, and an ability to communicate effectively to succeed in this role.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work at home and you must be present in our Dublin office on a weekly basis.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and review externally prepared annual financial statements
- Monthly analysis and explanation of profit and loss and balance sheet movements
- Assisting with External Audit engagements, including the Group and UK entity audits.
- Preparation of regulatory reports in relation to E-Money institutions including FINREP and Supplementary return.
- Preparation of safeguarding daily reconciliations ensuring that Safeguarding accounts are appropriately reconciled and that the appropriate amounts of customer funds are safeguarded at any given point.
- Preparation of the firm’s capital adequacy calculations to ensure that sufficient own funds are maintained at all times to meet regulatory requirements.
- Providing executive management with high-quality financial information, summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to guide effective policy making and financial strategy including reporting to the Board.
- Review externally prepared tax returns
- Supporting preparation of Financial Slides for Board Meetings and for monitoring outsourcing
- Monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliation
- Posting journals entries
- Support annual forecasting and budget process
- Close collaboration with the settlement and reconciliation team
- Monitoring and improvement of financial processes and controls
- Work closely with the Group Finance Team on performing various tasks including during the monthly close, and UK entity specific tasks as directed.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:
- Educated to degree level and fully qualified Accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience.
- Experience within regulated companies reporting to the CBI
- Experience of Financial services audits and financial control activities
- Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and tax.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced spreadsheet / modelling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Highly organised with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Experience with accounting software - e.g. Netsuite
- Ability to work in a matrix organisation, with multiple stakeholders.
