Oracle/PostgreSQL developer


Paysend is hiring!
We are looking for a PostgreSQL developer to join our team, who is willing to actively participate in the design and development of high-load systems in our European Technical Centre based in Belgrade. The company can offer a partially remote job, when a person will be able to visit twice a week an office, located in the center of Belgrade! 

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • ETL procedures and server part development (stored procedures, views, etc.), optimization of queries for high loads.
  • SQL queries refactoring
  • Parsing external files for financial data matching

What you’ll need to be successful in the role:

  • Experience in developing for Oracle and/or PostgreSQL (server database objects - stored procedures, views, etc.).
  • Database management systems
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, AWS, Liquibase, Python
  • Query optimization: skills in reading plans, indexing, rebuilding the physical storage structure in order to optimize performance, other methods.
  • ETL/ELT processes (especially using JSON)

What will be a plus:

  • Banking or telecommunication experience
  • PostgreSQL DB development experience
  • English at a level not lower than intermediate.
